The Student Ministry programming is a ministry that has a mission to Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World. We seek to be more like Jesus, living out the fruit of the Spirit, remembering God is the center of all we do.
SUNDAY NIGHTS: JOIN US FOR DINNER, WORSHIP, and SMALL GROUPS
Join us Sunday Nights from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm for dinner starting at 5pm, Worship at 5:30 pm, and Small Groups from 6-6:30 pm. Each Sunday night we seek to come together to be seen and to be heard. Through dinner fellowship, worship, and small groups together we learn that we are better together than apart. Join us each Sunday night starting at 5:00 pm. Join us this Sunday for our finale for, "Selfie: A Look at Wesleyan Identity." This final week we look at "The Selfie of Nurture and Mission of the Church."

CTCYM MISSION TRIP - Sign up!
It's that time of year again, time to sign for CTCYM Mission Trip. We will be going to the Gulf Coast June 16-22, so please join us by signing up at www.ctcym.org. Everyone pays $150 dollars to attend mission trip and we raise the overhead in fundraisers.

All Mission Trip participants and parents, please join us at 4:00 pm in the Youth Room for a meeting about all you need to know about attending Mission Trip June 16-22. We will talk about what you need to pack, what you can do now to prepare and what we can do together to prepare, and itinerary for leaving on June 16th for Mission Trip. SELFIE: A WESLEYAN LOOK AT IDENTITY
The 21st century like the centuries before it brought advances by mankind, and yet it seems the 21st century we have advanced into a culture that is unlike any other that we have been in. The advances of technology being the primary advancement, but specifically the introduction of Social Media. With the entrance of Facebook in 2004 we were exposed to a whole different way of connection.
Connection became something that was instant and you had the ability to connect with anybody, anywhere in the world. Facebook changed the way we did everything and that lead to Twitter, Instagram, and then we were introduced to the selfie. A selfie is a picture of oneself taken usually with a smartphone and share on social media and the shocking statistic about this new trend is that 1 million selfies are shared a day.
Through this trend we project what we either see in ourselves or what we want others to see. Most of the time it’s not true, but is digitally enhanced or retouched. Through this study we will learn and grow in what are some core beliefs we need to project. So, each week we will “take a selfie” of something that God compels us to project.
